SunningHill Jill Kids was inspired by a caring neighborhood and a heartfelt gift of an iPad to Jill's 15 year old son who had just undergone his second major operation for a rare form of kidney cancer.

She will never forget his words that day when he received his iPad while in recovery and during a time when their family was coming to terms with this completely ‘out of the blue’ diagnosis.

His exact words were; “This is the best day of my life!”  

An iPad can provide connection and entertainment, while also showing love and compassion to a child and their family undergoing long treatments and recovery times and of course, a little bit of escapism from their daily challenges! With your help we can bring a smile to as many kids as possible, with the gift of an iPad.

Together Time

We also like to help give precious time for families to be together and your donations can help make this happen.

Many of these kids are undergoing gruelling treatment for sometimes 5 days a week and up to 8 hours per day, so a day out or a weekend away offers enormous respite not only for the kids but their families too - helping to make forever memories!

It could be a day out to a water park, a trip to a baseball game, or even a family weekend away to the beach or the mountains. For most of us these things come relatively easily but for families and kids undergoing treatment and who spend so much time in hospital, these are incredible moments and times that can be cherished forever.  Your generous donations can help make these special times together a reality.

Family Support

For many families these are very difficult times, emotionally, mentally and certainly financially. Treatment is often expensive and unaffordable for many; jobs can go from full time to part time in order for parents to be in hospital supporting their kids; daily financial burdens (mortgages, rent, utility bills) all put further strain on the shoulders of families.
